Since the 1960s, the photolanguage technique has been using images as an innovative process to encourage and facilitate personal expression wether be in small or larger groups. Through the images chosen, each person can express their feelings, fears, desires, dreams, etc.
The Baobab Cards are designed by Véronique based on her original photographs.
These photolanguage, projective cards, speech boosters, are tailored to the needs of all professionals in the field of accompaniment (coach, trainer, animator, educator) as well as for anyone in quest of a powerful and poetic support for reflection.
In our daily lives, photos touch us, irritate us, amuse us, move us, fascinate us…
As an icebreaker for a initial group sharing.
As a projective and metaphorical support during coaching, therapy, animation, etc.
To give equal value to everyone’s voice in a group that is sometimes very diverse (age, hierarchy, etc.).
To explore together the different representation of a thematic.
To discover alternative ways to solve a problem or unlock a situation.

The size of the discussion group can vary from one on one to 50 people or even more.
Choose your question that will encourage sharing among the participants carefully.
Put it clearly to the group, or even write it down.

Ask everyone to look at the images for a while
Each person should choose and take one or two images.

Choose an image theme that inspires you according to the topic to be addressed.
For example, how far you have come, what is your place in the team.
Make sure there is enough space to put the pictures.
The cards can be chosen face down or face up.

Plan a sufficient number of cards with regards to the size of the group; more or less 50 cards for a group of 12 people.
It is important to organise the time available to ech one to speak, everyone must be able to express themselves.
